Training
There are a large number of online and instructor-led courses available for Cub Scout leaders. Some of these courses are required of trained leaders while others are optional.
It is strongly recommended that all adults, not just Registered Adult leaders, take the BSA Youth Protection Training available online at myscouting.org (you will need to create an account, if you don't already have one).

After completing the required online courses, a trained leader must take the instructor-lead Leader-Specific Training (LST). These are typically offered by the district a few times each year.
It is also recommended that adult leaders complete BALOO training (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation), preferably in its OLS (Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leadersg) form. This training is required for Webelos Den Leaders. The pack also needs to have a number of BALOO trained adults in order to conduct outdoor activities.
